Chili powder known as Mirchi powder belongs to the botanical family of Capsicum Frutescens. Chili pepper is widely known as the fruit of plants of the genus Capsicum. Originally native to the United States, the chili peppers were brought to Asia by the Portuguese navy in the 16th century.

After the Colombian trade, they were cultivated around the world. Today, however, chilli peppers are present in the production, consumer, and exports. About 75% of India’s total chilli pepper production is exported from Andhra Pradesh.

The chilly powder is commonly utilized every meal in Australia, South Africa, Britain, New Zealand, India, and in various Asian countries, in a variety of dishes and snacks. This chili powder is used in both food and medicine.
